July 2022 interview with Adam Stultz
Brandon Falk, OTR
Brandon provides instruction, education and support to individuals struggling with various physical and/or cognitive deficits.
Brandon understands what it is not to be able to move your body. On August 28, 2015, Brandon fell asleep at the wheel, hit a tree and was ejected through the driver's side window. He sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), spent the following two weeks in a coma and awoke with R-sided hemiparesis, or partial paralysis of his right side.
When working with his clients, Brandon’s history is always with him and is reflected in the care and kindness he demonstrates with all people. The insight he has into living with a disability allows him to provide more individualized and effective treatment.
Many of Brandon's clients participants have stated that they've experienced improvements in movement, mood and cognitive processing since beginning with Brandon.
Brandon offers boxing and LSVT instruction, holds group drum circles and provides private drum lessons. Individualized treatment is provided at The Arc Carroll facility.
Brandon’s work has recently been recognized by “Hey, Westminster”, who provided him a grant to purchase additional equipment.
